In your role within the Joint Fires Element, you will be pivotal in the analysis and management of data, contributing significantly to mission success across diverse operational domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various offices within USINDOPACOM to gather, integrate, and manage data effectively.
- Identify and evaluate relevant data sources for targeted projects.
- Analyze and categorize data to extract insightful information that can drive key decisions.
- Develop, validate, and refine algorithms and models to promote ongoing improvement in data processes.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present findings and communicate actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Understand data types relevant to USINDOPACOM directorates and their specific applications.
- Ensure superior data management and ontology across the command.
- Advise on the development of the Indo-Pacific data strategy and assist in shaping related policies.
- Prepare reports and executive summaries, articulating insights for senior leadership.
- Organize and tag data to enhance its accessibility and utility.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Combatant Commands and Joint Staff.
- Assist in planning and managing data related to risk and vulnerability assessments.
- Proficiency with MIL-STD data formats (USMTF/OTH, CMF, Tactical Data Links/JREAP, and VMF).
- Expertise in Data Science methodologies for both structured and unstructured data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and creativity in leveraging diverse data sources for actionable insights.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data narratives.
- Active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility; U.S. Citizenship required for Top-Secret clearance.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience, in a related field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computer Engineering.
- Proven experience in data analysis and visualization, with a strong grasp of advanced analytical techniques.
