Remote Senior Accountant | WFH Opportunity

Job Overview

We are in search of a meticulous and skilled Senior Accountant to join our remote team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to precise financial reporting, manage owner-related accounting ledgers, and uphold compliance with established accounting standards. This position also offers the chance to cultivate strong relationships with ownership groups and internal teams, while also mentoring less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute general accounting functions, including the reconciliation of ledger accounts and the examination of financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss reports.
• Oversee and evaluate the work of offshore personnel to ensure accuracy in journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze and report on financial transactions, ensuring that owner-related ledgers remain accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
• Manage cash requirements for owner portfolios, ensuring sufficient working capital.
• Act as the primary liaison for ownership groups concerning financial inquiries, reporting, and specific analysis requests.
• Collaborate with internal teams across accounting, asset management, financial systems, and treasury to aid in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Spearhead the transformation of financial data into precise and meaningful reports while identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
• Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely responses to auditor inquiries.
• Maintain adherence to necessary training and regulatory guidelines to comply with industry standards.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or Data Analytics (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in financial reporting or FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements pertinent to ownership structures and entities.
• Proficiency in analyzing large datasets and utilizing financial tools such as MS Excel, SAS, and ERP systems like PeopleSoft.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing deadlines.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or Data Analytics.
