Key Responsibilities
As a VA Hearing Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing approximately 15 hearings monthly before the Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA).
- Reviewing medical and service records to prepare compelling cases.
- Guiding clients through hearings and navigating the legal landscape.
- Requesting necessary medical evaluations, records, and expert opinions.
- Conducting legal research and drafting essential documents such as hearing briefs and motions.
- Collaborating closely with your assigned case manager to ensure effective case management.
- Working in tandem with the VA Supervising Attorney and team to optimize case outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid license to practice law in any U.S. state or territory.
- Preference for VA accreditation.
- Experience in Veterans Disability or Social Security law is advantageous.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent legal research capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
