Key Responsibilities
In your role as a part-time Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of our non-profit clients. You will engage directly with multiple clients, both virtually and on-site, to deliver a wide range of accounting services and cultivate strong relationships with their staff and boards. - Processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Performing bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing monthly financial statements and conducting related analyses.
- Tracking and monitoring grants.
- Developing and monitoring cash flow projections.
- Preparing for external audits.
To excel in this role, you should bring the following skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry (5 years preferred).
- Strong communication skills and a positive demeanor.
- Familiarity with various accounting software, with QuickBooks experience being advantageous.
- Intermediate-level skills in Excel.
- Willingness to travel to client offices as needed (when safe).
- Non-profit experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability to work during regular business hours to effectively serve our clients.
