We are a rapidly expanding and reputable real estate, construction, and property management firm seeking a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper / Accountant / Office Manager to become an integral part of our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing financial records, processing various transactions, and providing support across multiple facets of our accounting and office functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document daily financial transactions to ensure both precision and thoroughness.
- Oversee weekly payroll and manage both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Execute daily remote deposits and conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts.
- Maintain supplier accounts by confirming and posting transactions, ensuring timely reconciliation.
- Create, manage, and monitor invoicing and payment processes.
- Organize and file financial documents, ensuring an efficient record-keeping system.
- Generate financial reports and assist with the monthly and annual financial closing procedures.
- Uphold established bookkeeping policies and procedures to guarantee consistency and accuracy.
- Aid in documentation and coordination for construction projects.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting, finance, or related areas.
- Strong familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Appfolio, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of AIA documents is an advantage.
- Experience managing expense reports and accounts payable is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and financial teams.
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of adhering to standard procedures and meeting deadlines.
- Prior accounting experience with a particular focus on Accounts Payable and Expense Reporting.
