Remote VP of Silicon Operations | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Vice President of Silicon Operations to spearhead our supply chain management for all silicon products, encompassing both Endpoint and Reader ICs. This pivotal role involves overseeing the complete production lifecycle, which includes wafer procurement, post-processing, and the management of finished goods, warehousing, and shipping. You will play an integral part in ensuring product quality, quantity, and cost-effectiveness as we pursue operational excellence during a period of significant growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume complete ownership of the supply chain for all silicon products.
• Formulate and implement a comprehensive 5-year supply chain strategy.
• Collaborate with Sales and Product Management teams to accurately forecast demand in both the short and long term.
• Align wafer supply strategies with organizational supply and financial objectives.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with contract manufacturers to facilitate the conversion of wafers into finished products.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer service excellence, and social responsibility objectives while meeting financial and operational targets.
• Lead sourcing strategies while managing contracts, negotiations, and relationships with global suppliers and logistics partners.
• Oversee manufacturing and logistics operations, ensuring seamless and efficient processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in key performance indicators related to supply chain efficiency.
• Manage capital and operational budgets essential for supply chain success.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team to support our ambitious growth trajectory.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in supply chain management, including 5-7 years in leadership positions within global corporations.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 standards or experience in regulated industries.
• Proven ability in supplier management, cost reduction initiatives, on-time delivery, and sustainability efforts.
• Expertise in negotiating significant, multi-year contracts with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Strong leadership capabilities with an emphasis on scaling teams and processes to satisfy increasing demand.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with 5-7 years in senior managerial roles within large organizations.

• Base salary range: \(190,000 - \)305,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
