Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual therapy sessions to adult clients, with opportunities to work with teenagers and couples based on your interests.
- Apply clinical expertise and diagnostic skills to support client mental health and personal development.
- Develop DSM-5 diagnoses and create personalized treatment plans that cater to each client’s unique needs.
- Maintain thorough electronic documentation and timely completion of clinical notes.
- Engage in consultations with other healthcare providers and family members as required.
- Stay updated on continuing education and best practices to effectively serve a diverse clientele.
- Ensure a neat and organized workspace, including shared practice areas.
- Active Illinois LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT license.
- Minimum of one year of counseling experience, demonstrating a commitment to client development.
- Familiarity with tools such as G Suite, Google Docs, TherapyNotes, and a VOIP voicemail system.
- Strong organizational abilities, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit.
- Capacity to independently manage your caseload while ensuring accurate documentation.
- Must hold a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Prior experience in private practice is advantageous, yet not mandatory.
