Job Overview

We are currently in search of a diligent and meticulous Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our esteemed team in the luxury transportation sector, located in the scenic Napa Valley and Sonoma wine country. This crucial role will involve overseeing various bookkeeping functions to ensure the precision and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration: Process weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accurate payroll tax handling.
  • Health Insurance Management: Maintain and update health insurance records, including managing additions, deletions, and annual enrollment updates.
  • File Management: Supervise the organization and storage of financial documents in accordance with company policies.
  • Commissions Tracking: Manage the entry of Travel Agent and hotel commissions into QuickBooks and our reservation system, processing them weekly.
  • Accounting Email Management: Oversee the accounting inbox, responding to inquiries promptly.
  • Bank Transactions: Post daily Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) and PayPal transactions.
  • New Hires: Manage onboarding of new employees in QuickBooks.
  • Tax Forms: Assist in preparing and distributing annual W-2s and 1099s.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Handle tasks associated with accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciliations: Conduct daily reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.
  • Monthly Checks: Issue monthly reimbursements for medical and cell phone expenses.
  • Banking and Mail Processing: Manage daily banking deposits and mail activities.
  • Prepare Financial Reports: Collaborate with ownership and CPAs to review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a full-charge bookkeeping role or a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including payroll processing and relevant tax regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (QB).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Solid comprehension of payroll tax filings, including W-2s and 1099s.

Qualifications

  • An Accounting Degree or relevant certification is advantageous.
