Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for policyholders, elucidating their coverage, assessing property damage for both residential and commercial properties, and providing comprehensive support throughout the claims journey.
- Conduct detailed on-site inspections, compile evidence, document your observations, and formulate thorough reports to facilitate effective claim management.
- Demonstrate your negotiation acumen by evaluating coverage, verifying claim validity, and negotiating equitable settlements within your established limits.
- Deliver exceptional service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy, even in challenging situations.
- Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient claims resolution process.
- Proven experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist within the insurance sector, with a focus on property claims.
- In-depth understanding of property insurance policies, coverage specifics, and claims processing protocols.
- Familiarity with building construction principles for both residential and commercial properties.
- Acquaintance with local regulations and compliance standards relevant to your designated territory.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal talents, with the ability to manage sensitive discussions with care.
- Strong capability to assess damage, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements effectively.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in claims management software and other pertinent tools.
- Physical capacity to lift, carry, climb ladders, navigate roofs, and access confined spaces.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex or high-value claims.
- Background in construction is advantageous.
- Experience with water mitigation inspections.
- Familiarity with Xactimate and XactContents software is preferred.
