Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and bilingual professional to fill the role of Bilingual Executive Case Manager, fully remote. This position is ideal for individuals who have a fervent commitment to assisting others in overcoming intricate healthcare issues. Fluency in Spanish, combined with exceptional problem-solving capabilities, will empower you to significantly impact patients’ lives by facilitating their access to vital medications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for patients throughout the entire process of obtaining prescribed medications.
  • Conduct benefit investigations, manage prior authorizations, and oversee appeals.
  • Deliver expert guidance on insurance coverage and navigate access and reimbursement challenges.
  • Educate both patients and healthcare providers on available support tools and eligibility criteria.
  • Cultivate and maintain trusting relationships with patients, prescribers, and stakeholders through effective communication.
  • Handle incoming calls and offer tailored case management services.
  • Leverage electronic resources to ascertain benefits and payer coverage.
  • Document all interactions and activities meticulously within our systems.
  • Generate necessary reports and perform analyses as required.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social science, or a related field is preferred; alternatively, candidates with five years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in insurance reimbursement, patient access, direct patient care, or patient education.
  • Preferred: at least two years of experience in healthcare access delivery or management.
