Key Responsibilities
- Execute, evaluate, and interpret an array of intricate cardiac ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic echoes and stress echoes.
- Customize imaging examinations to accurately depict cardiac anatomy and pathology, while diligently monitoring patient vital signs.
- Perform echocardiographic studies in the cath lab and assist physicians with transesophageal echo (TEE) procedures.
- Generate preliminary reports that summarize patient history and exam measurements for the reading cardiologist.
- Ensure high-quality and professional-level cardiac ultrasound exams conforming to established protocols and guidelines.
- Recognize and communicate critical findings that necessitate immediate attention.
- Contribute to ongoing professional development through training, case presentations, and mentoring of sonographer students.
- Participate in equitable on-call rotations and travel to remote clinic sites as needed, with compensated travel time.
- Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from CCI (mandatory).
- Current BLS certification (mandatory).
- Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation (mandatory).
- Previous experience as an adult or pediatric echocardiographer or cardiac sonographer is preferred, but recent graduates are welcome and will be included in a structured mentorship program.
- New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply and will benefit from a comprehensive 6-month preceptorship and mentorship program.
