Key Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, your role will encompass:

• Independently conducting high-quality, complex diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations in adherence to established protocols.
• Determining diagnostic parameters and modifying imaging techniques to achieve optimal results.
• Utilizing advanced imaging methods (e.g., echo contrast, 3-D quantification, strain imaging) as required.
• Performing echocardiographic studies in the Cath Lab to assist in procedural guidance.
• Providing stress echo imaging through various methods (treadmill, dobutamine, pharmacological).
• Supporting physicians during transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and other specialized procedures.
• Accurately measuring and calculating data on acquired images.
• Summarizing patient histories, exam measurements, and relevant findings to create thorough preliminary assessments.
• Recognizing and effectively communicating critical findings to the reading cardiologist.
• Delivering outstanding patient care and contributing to the professional development of both yourself and your colleagues.
• Participating in the training and orientation of sonography students.
• Traveling to remote clinic locations (up to two hours distant) with compensated travel time.
  
  

Required Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from CCI.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
