Key Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Sonographer, your role will encompass:
- Independently conducting high-quality, complex diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations in adherence to established protocols.
- Determining diagnostic parameters and modifying imaging techniques to achieve optimal results.
- Utilizing advanced imaging methods (e.g., echo contrast, 3-D quantification, strain imaging) as required.
- Performing echocardiographic studies in the Cath Lab to assist in procedural guidance.
- Providing stress echo imaging through various methods (treadmill, dobutamine, pharmacological).
- Supporting physicians during transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and other specialized procedures.
- Accurately measuring and calculating data on acquired images.
- Summarizing patient histories, exam measurements, and relevant findings to create thorough preliminary assessments.
- Recognizing and effectively communicating critical findings to the reading cardiologist.
- Delivering outstanding patient care and contributing to the professional development of both yourself and your colleagues.
- Participating in the training and orientation of sonography students.
- Traveling to remote clinic locations (up to two hours distant) with compensated travel time.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from CCI.
- Current BLS certification.
- Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from \(44.59 to \)71.80.
