We are seeking an accomplished and passionate leader to join our Transactions Team as the Director of North America Transactions. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate renewable energy deals between buyers and sellers, contributing to the clean energy transition and helping to shape the future of sustainable power. Key Responsibilities
- Optimize energy procurement agreements to balance contract risk while streamlining complex processes for efficient buyer-seller connections.
- Lead and mentor a team of Transaction Managers, fostering professional development and cultivating a positive team environment.
- Compile and analyze data and metrics for internal and external stakeholders, effectively presenting procurement concepts through reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with Customer Engagement and Sales Enablement teams to ensure accurate records of customers and stakeholders.
- Develop profound expertise in our software platform and procurement tools, offering valuable feedback for product innovation based on emerging customer needs.
- Identify opportunities for platform enhancement and contribute feedback on new features.
- 10 years of experience in renewable energy origination, project management, or voluntary renewable energy procurement.
- 5 years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Extensive knowledge of contracting across various North American regions.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy development, including key differences across states and energy markets.
- Proven ability to discuss commodity market fundamentals and navigate North American compliance markets, including Renewable Energy Certificates.
- Familiarity with tax credit transfer agreements and negotiations is advantageous.
- Exceptional professionalism in customer interactions and capability to build trust during complex negotiations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Salesforce, and project management tools (such as Asana or Jira).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is preferred.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
