In this pivotal role, you will lead the advancement of technical excellence within our premium audit department, cultivating a high level of expertise among our audit staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development and enhancement of technical competencies among audit personnel, guiding them to achieve “Industry Expert” status.
- Design and implement dynamic training programs and instructional materials tailored for all audit roles, from newcomers to veterans.
- Collaborate closely with management to evaluate and affirm the skill levels of our team members.
- Partner with leadership to formulate and execute strategic training plans that elevate auditor proficiency.
- Create and oversee external training initiatives for policyholders, agents, and other vital stakeholders.
- Act as the primary technical authority on premium auditing, contributing to both internal and external resources, and maintaining an awareness of current industry trends.
- Lead our Quality Program by conducting thorough reviews and pinpointing opportunities for enhancement.
- Provide strategic support for significant account strategies, including consultations and audits.
- Manage special projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of experience in insurance premium auditing, or a combination of education and relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with mainframe experience considered an asset.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of confidently conveying information to large groups.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting and executing training programs.
- Exceptional time management and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance company operations and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of NCCI and ISO manual rules pertinent to classification and premium computation.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, including occasional extended trips.
