As a Retirement Plan Specialist, you will embark on a journey to master the essentials of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, you will transition from document review to the administration of fundamental plans. Your responsibilities will include reviewing client submissions, updating clients on progress, and guiding them through necessary year-end reporting documents, including the annual Form 5500.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for annual reporting.
- Review client documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile plans concerning rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
- Employ administration software for 401(k) testing and reporting.
- Initiate reminders via calls and emails to clients during the reporting process.
- Prepare government filings for 401(k) plans, including the IRS Form 5500.
- Educate clients about the administration of their 401(k) plans and related documents.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Customer service, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structures and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (business, finance, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

- Competitive hourly rate of \(23, translating to an annual salary of \)47,840.
