Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized knowledge in critical infrastructure operations, reliability, and protection.
- Provide strategic security leadership and communication to external stakeholders through various channels, including direct interactions and comprehensive reports.
- Identify, assess, and propose tools, programs, and processes to fortify critical infrastructure protection.
- Collaborate with team members to devise and disseminate innovative solutions to security and reliability issues through training and outreach initiatives.
- Spearhead and coordinate outreach efforts aimed at minimizing risks to the bulk power system.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences of varying sizes.
- Develop and share technical documents for educational initiatives via our learning platform and newsletters.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of program documentation and related resources.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects while cultivating a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Foster robust relationships with stakeholders and actively engage in committees, working groups, and task forces affiliated with the organization.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to further our mission.
- Extensive experience in operational technology (OT) or information technology (IT) security concepts and devices.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interactions across various formats.
- Demonstrated proficiency in logical analytical thinking and deriving practical conclusions from data analysis.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Project, alongside general computer skills.
- Experience with the development and implementation of technical policies, procedures, and protocols is highly advantageous.
- Possession of an industry-recognized security certification is a plus.
- A minimum of five years of experience within the electric utility sector, particularly with bulk electric systems preferred (e.g., SCADA security, EMS operations).
- At least seven years of background in managing, securing, operating, or auditing critical systems related to electric power and industrial control.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical, security, or engineering-related discipline.
- In-depth understanding of relevant standards such as NERC, ISO, and NIST.
