Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the program while representing it in a professional and constructive manner.
- Support and guide teaching personnel in effectively executing lessons, developing lesson plans, and employing assessment tools such as the COR Advantage Assessment tool.
- Ensure compliance with NAEYC Accreditation standards, DC Early Learning Standards, and various educational guidelines.
- Identify training needs among staff and manage professional development initiatives.
- Cultivate positive connections with families and the broader community.
- Supervise staff and manage facility operations, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy to maintain full enrollment and ensure the center meets its licensing capacity.
- In-depth understanding of NAEYC Accreditation, DC Early Learning Standards, and curriculum implementation.
- Ability to create a nurturing and inviting environment for families, ensuring their engagement and support.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing assessment tools such as the COR Advantage Assessment tool.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with ITERS, CLASS, and QRIS standards.
- Proven experience in program management, staff oversight, and community involvement.
