We invite applications for the position of Director of Business Development, a critical role focused on stimulating growth within our Multi-Service Brokerage freight division. This remote opportunity is tailored for candidates located in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, or Chicago, and involves occasional travel to Michigan for team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business strategies to uncover new market opportunities and avenues for growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align business plans with company objectives while adapting to market dynamics.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients that align with our operational strengths through targeted outreach efforts.
  • Conduct consultations to grasp client challenges and deliver customized logistics solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for key accounts, nurturing relationships and fostering trust.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities and progress within CRM systems to inform business strategies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven expertise in logistics sales, freight brokerage, or supply chain solutions.
  • Proficient in navigating complex sales cycles and establishing enduring client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations and associated industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A track record of success in logistics sales and building client relationships.
