Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive electrical systems, including utility power, distribution, lighting, low-voltage data, fire alarms, access control, and security systems.
- Assist in project budgeting by preparing trade-specific estimates, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with building codes, including NEC and IBBC standards, as well as life safety regulations.
- Manage the financial and technical aspects of assigned projects, ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to produce high-quality designs.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Profound expertise in the design of electrical systems.
- Proficient in Revit and other CAD software.
- Exceptional communication abilities to effectively convey complex design details to clients and team members.
- Strong leadership skills to mentor and develop the team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Over 10 years of experience in designing electrical systems for buildings, including expertise in power, distribution, lighting, low-voltage data, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable building codes.
