Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for buildings, including but not limited to utility power, distribution, lighting, low-voltage data, fire alarms, access control, and security systems.
- Contribute to the creation of project budgets by providing accurate trade-specific estimates, ensuring alignment with project objectives and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, including NEC and IBBC standards, while maintaining life safety requirements in designs.
- Lead projects, taking full responsibility for their financial and technical outcomes, while ensuring that timelines, goals, and standards are consistently met.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver exceptional results and designs.
- Mentor and guide team members, promoting skill enhancement and knowledge exchange.
- Commit to continuous professional development and inspire your team to reach their maximum potential.
- Professional Engineering license (PE) required.
- Proficiency in Revit and other relevant CAD software.
- Strong communication abilities, capable of articulating complex design concepts to clients and team members alike.
- Extensive understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and pertinent building codes, particularly around life safety regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in designing electrical systems for various buildings, covering power, distribution, lighting, low-voltage data, fire alarms, and security systems.
