As a Survey Project Manager, you will be key in managing and directing surveying operations across a range of municipal and transportation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertly evaluate, select, and apply standard surveying methodologies and procedures, leveraging your experience to adapt techniques for FDOT and other transportation projects.
- Strategically plan, schedule, and oversee intricate phases of surveying efforts, whether as components of larger projects or as independent tasks of moderate complexity.
- Conduct comprehensive boundary analyses for extensive land surveys, including corridors, routes, and sectionalized surveys.
- Facilitate ongoing client communication throughout the entirety of projects, ensuring alignment from initiation through to completion.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of surveyors, technicians, and support personnel engaged in specific surveying tasks.
- Review, seal, and oversee professional surveying documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to ensure project success.
- Active licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida, or the potential to obtain licensure within 12 months.
- A minimum of five years of practical experience in an office setting on DOT projects.
- Robust technical skills, particularly in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Extensive expertise in Right-of-Way mapping is preferred.
- Proven track record with at least five years of relevant experience in surveying, particularly on DOT-related initiatives.
- Strong background in surveying and project management.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
