Key Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate, select, and implement standard surveying methodologies and procedures, using your expertise to ensure compliance for FDOT and related transportation projects.
- Strategically plan, schedule, and supervise detailed phases of surveying work, whether as part of a larger initiative or as an independent task of moderate complexity.
- Conduct comprehensive boundary analyses for extensive land surveys, including corridor, route, and sectionalized surveys.
- Lead and maintain effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring consistency from inception to completion.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of surveyors, technicians, and support personnel involved in specific surveying assignments.
- Review, seal, and manage essential surveying documentation professionally.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to ensure project success.
- Active licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida, or the capability to secure licensure within 12 months.
- A minimum of five years of office experience specifically related to DOT projects.
- Proficient technical skills, with demonstrated knowledge in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Preferably extensive experience in Right-of-Way mapping.
- Proven ability to lead and effectively manage survey teams.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
