Key Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate, select, and implement standard surveying methodologies and practices, utilizing your expertise to adapt to the specific requirements of FDOT and other transportation initiatives.
- Effectively plan, organize, and supervise the detailed phases of surveying tasks, whether they form part of a larger project or stand alone.
- Conduct comprehensive boundary analyses for extensive land surveys, including corridor, route, and sectionalized surveys.
- Maintain active communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment and understanding from inception to completion.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of surveyors, technicians, and support personnel involved in designated survey projects.
- Review, certify, and manage all necessary professional surveying documentation.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to ensure project success.
- Active licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida, or the capability to obtain licensure within a 12-month period.
- A minimum of five years of relevant office experience with DOT projects.
- Strong technical competencies, including proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Preferred experience in Right-of-Way mapping.
- Proven experience leading surveying activities and managing project teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
- A Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred.
