Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive electrical design and consulting services for utility clients, emphasizing substation design and protection/control systems.
- Lead design services according to industry standards, which encompass engineering design, drafting, procurement management, contract preparation, construction oversight, and technical review.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure projects are executed according to design specifications.
- Conduct occasional site visits to supervise construction and ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Review and manage the work of peers to guarantee adherence to engineering principles, client requirements, and applicable specifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through education, certifications, and licensure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the utility sector, specifically in substation engineering and design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the capacity to secure licensure in required states.
- Proficient knowledge in power system planning, protection, design, and operations.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards and electrical codes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and construction inspections as necessary (occasional overnight travel may be required).
