Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive electrical design and consulting services for utility clients, with an emphasis on substation design and protection/control systems.
- Direct design services consistent with industry standards, which include engineering design, drawing development, procurement management, contract preparation, construction oversight, and technical reviews.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure accurate project installations per design specifications.
- Conduct periodic site visits to supervise construction and confirm adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure exceptional quality by reviewing and managing the work of others, verifying compliance with engineering principles, client specifications, and relevant standards.
- Work in tandem with colleagues across various departments to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through continued education, certifications, and licensure.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years in the utility industry, particularly focused on substation engineering and design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the capacity to secure licensure in required states.
- In-depth knowledge of power system planning, protection, design, and operations.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards and electrical codes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for client meetings, site visits, and construction inspections (occasional overnight travel may be required).
