Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the design process for transmission projects, ensuring compliance with established technical standards and project objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to secure essential resources, permits, and approvals.
- Formulate detailed project scopes, assess bids, and allocate contracts for engineering services.
- Supervise the creation and submission of engineering documentation and deliverables throughout all phases of the project.
- Act as a technical advisor, providing insights in value engineering while maintaining the integrity and quality of designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in high-voltage (HV) transmission line development, design, and construction.
- Proficient in critical engineering software, including PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong project management abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Openness to travel within North America as required.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred.
- Experience utilizing project management tools such as Primavera is advantageous.
- Familiarity with renewable energy projects and associated regulatory requirements is a plus.
