As the Survey Project Manager, you will take the lead in managing and directing surveying operations for a diverse array of municipal and transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and implement standard surveying methods and procedures, utilizing your expertise to adapt them for FDOT and other transportation endeavors.
- Strategically plan, schedule, and manage intricate phases of surveying tasks, whether as components of larger projects or as independent assignments of moderate complexity.
- Conduct boundary assessments for extensive land surveys, encompassing corridor, route, and sectional surveys.
- Facilitate client communications throughout the entirety of project lifecycles, ensuring alignment and clarity from inception to completion.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of surveyors, technicians, and support personnel engaged in specific survey assignments.
- Review, authenticate, and maintain professional surveying documentation.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary to ensure project success.
- Active licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida, or the capability to obtain licensure within 12 months.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in an office setting, specifically working on DOT projects.
- Proficient technical skills, particularly in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Extensive background in Right-of-Way mapping is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing and supervising surveying operations in a professional capacity.
