As a Survey Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing surveying operations across a range of municipal and transportation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and implement standard surveying methods and practices, employing your expertise to adapt as necessary for FDOT and related transportation projects.
- Strategically plan, schedule, and supervise detailed phases of surveying activities, whether as part of larger projects or independent tasks of moderate scope.
- Conduct boundary assessments for extensive land surveys, including corridor, route, and sectionalized surveys.
- Manage client communications throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and satisfaction from inception to completion.
- Supervise and coordinate the efforts of surveyors, technicians, and support staff assigned to specific surveying tasks.
- Review, seal, and oversee professional surveying documents.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to ensure project success.
- Active licensure as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Florida, or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months.
- Minimum of five years of relevant office experience working on DOT projects.
- Proficiency in technical skills, including familiarity with Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
- Extensive background in Right-of-Way mapping is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing surveying activities and teams is essential.
