Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with team members and customer agencies to address service and incident tickets.
- Develop scripts and workflows to automate administrative tasks utilizing your expertise in Python and additional scripting languages.
- Communicate and provide clear time and effort estimates for project completion.
- Create training materials and documentation to ensure end-users are well-equipped to utilize our systems.
- Manage all stages of development and maintenance for assigned applications and scripts, under general supervision.
- Research enhancements and conduct analysis and design for computer applications.
- Design, code, test, and document applications and scripts while providing production support for both simple and complex systems.
- Mentor junior team members and lead small to medium projects or components of larger initiatives, when applicable.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging technologies.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience with scripting languages, APIs, and modules such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Pandas, ArcPy, ArcGIS API, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
- One year of experience with Microsoft SQL Enterprise Databases (v2016 ) and/or PostgreSQL.
- At least two years of practical experience in scripting with Python.
- Proven expertise in developing policies and workflows in collaborative settings, as well as creating user training and documentation.
