Position Overview
In this role, you will collaborate closely with designated practice groups, supporting a range of practice management initiatives. Reporting to the Practice Group Manager(s), you will work together with other members of the Practice Management team to ensure efficient operations across the firm's practice groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights into the financial performance of assigned practice groups.
- Monitor attorney utilization and produce regular reports on performance metrics.
- Coordinate and schedule professional development and training programs for attorneys.
- Manage logistical arrangements for practice group meetings, events, and retreats, including drafting agendas and scheduling.
- Maintain and update the practice group’s intranet site and repository, ensuring easy access to relevant management information.
- Assist with lateral attorney recruitment projects, aiding efforts to attract and integrate new talent into the firm.
- Oversee practice group expense budgets and ensure expenditures align with financial goals.
- Promote attorney morale and engagement within the practice groups, supporting team-building efforts.
- Assist with the annual attorney evaluation process in collaboration with the Attorney Resources team.
- Provide support on various ad hoc projects related to processes, performance, and group initiatives.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with attorneys, staff, and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a readiness to quickly learn new tools and systems.
- Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment, supporting attorneys and managing administrative tasks.
