Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Multifamily Construction Project Manager to spearhead the design and construction of affordable housing initiatives and mixed-use developments. This remote role allows you to collaborate closely with design and development partners, serving as the owner's representative throughout the construction process. You will handle multiple projects of varying scales and complexities, focusing on contract administration, procurement, scheduling, financial oversight, and quality assurance to deliver successful project outcomes from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Direct the development and execution of affordable housing projects, managing all phases from design to construction.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the real estate development team to establish project objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Site Planning: Execute initial feasibility studies and assess zoning and code requirements to facilitate project planning.
  • Consultant Management: Prepare and disseminate RFQs and RFPs, streamline consultant selection processes, and coordinate with third-party professionals, including architects and general contractors.
  • Design Oversight: Lead the design process, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.
  • Construction Supervision: Manage the construction phase, tracking project progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Quality & Compliance: Uphold high standards in documentation, budget management, and quality control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Communication & Reporting: Facilitate project meetings, provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders, and maintain transparent communication across all teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Project Manager or Construction Manager role, specifically in multifamily or commercial projects; experience in affordable housing is advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects within defined timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Strong grasp of project planning and management principles.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
