Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager to join our dynamic team, responsible for spearheading the execution of cutting-edge embedded systems projects. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the successful delivery of customer-centric initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration between engineering teams and clients. You will oversee the deployment of tailored Ubuntu images across diverse devices, including robotics, IoT solutions, personal computers, and automotive systems. This remote position allows you to work flexibly across the Americas while managing high-stakes, transformative projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with both organizational objectives and client expectations.
• Deliver professional engineering services while working collaboratively on custom board enablement and Ubuntu image deployment.
• Develop project statements of work, schedules, and detailed plans.
• Maintain alignment with clients regarding timelines and project deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed scope, budget, and resources.
• Proactively manage risks and resolve technical challenges to meet project goals.
• Communicate consistently with clients and stakeholders to maintain project visibility and alignment.
• Oversee third-party deliverables, ensuring their timely integration into the overall project workflow.
• Provide regular updates on project status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify custom engineering requests that deviate from standard contracts.
• Promote relevant technologies to clients, ensuring they are aligned with their operational needs.
• Support various time zones and demonstrate flexibility in work hours to meet project demands.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently, ensuring operational efficiency and success.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive project management experience in delivering engineering services to clients, particularly in managing software development teams and field engineers.
• Proven expertise in handling complex, cross-cultural projects involving international teams.
• Solid grasp of Linux and the open-source software ecosystem, complemented by a strong understanding of computer architecture.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate successful partnerships within intricate organizational structures.
• PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel up to four times annually for internal events.
