Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with both organizational and client objectives.
- Deliver engineering professional services while collaborating closely with teams on custom board enablement and the delivery of Ubuntu images.
- Assist in the formulation of project statements of work, schedules, and plans.
- Maintain alignment with clients regarding project schedules and deliverables.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within established scope, budget, and resource constraints.
- Proactively manage risks and resolve technical issues to achieve project outcomes.
- Regularly communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project visibility and alignment.
- Track third-party deliverables, ensuring their timely integration into the projects.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on project status.
- Identify any customized engineering requests that exceed standard contracts.
- Advocate for suitable technologies to meet customer needs.
- Support multiple time zones and maintain flexible hours to accommodate project demands.
- Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive success.
- Robust project management experience in delivering engineering services, particularly in managing software development teams and field engineers.
- Proven history of managing complex, cross-cultural projects with international teams.
- Strong understanding of Linux and the open-source software ecosystem, along with a solid grasp of computer architecture.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven ability to cultivate successful partnerships in intricate organizational contexts.
- PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours and willingness to travel up to four times per year for internal events.
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is preferred.
