Key Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, development, and operation of an advanced childcare tracking system.
- Assess complex scenarios effectively to identify and implement viable solutions.
- Create and manage documentation of lessons learned for future project reference.
- Supervise daily system operations, proactively addressing potential issues and initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Allocate resources strategically across programs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and timelines.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, offering technical and analytical support to project teams.
- Employ agile project management methodologies, including Scaled Agile, to prioritize and execute system enhancements.
- Collaborate with various state agencies, such as the Department of Human Services, to maximize the utilization of the MD Think platform.
- Conduct regular status meetings with internal and contractor teams to align on objectives and track progress.
- Assist in managing contracts and vendors related to assigned projects.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is essential.
- Proficiency in using the CCATS application.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Familiarity with Maryland state procurement processes is an advantage.
- Experience in creating Fit Gap Analysis documentation is beneficial.
- Prior experience in delivering clear and organized presentations is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline is required.
- A master's degree or project management certification is preferred; a PhD is also a plus.
- Current certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is mandatory.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant industry experience is required, with at least 5 years managing project life cycles for internet and intranet software operations, particularly within government agencies.
