Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of project development for innovative technology and power management initiatives, including needs identification, proposal preparation, team formation, consultant management, and project planning.
- Provide strategic direction to both administrative and technical support teams, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Oversee the procurement of significant equipment and construction services, arrange project financing, and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams for financial projections and project transitions.
- Negotiate term sheets, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and other development agreements in coordination with sector managers.
- Remain current with the latest power supply technologies by participating in industry events and reviewing pertinent technical literature while maintaining robust professional relationships in the energy sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various power supply technologies and familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including team formation, contractor supervision, budget management, and scheduling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven collaboration and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project planning, regulatory, and financial challenges within the framework of organizational objectives.
- Adaptability to effectively work with diverse teams and to manage interpersonal dynamics with a balance of leadership, diplomacy, and mentoring.
- Level 1: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management; or an Associate's degree with 7 years; or a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience.
- Level 2: Bachelor's degree with 8 years of progressive experience in an electric public utility or similar organization; or an Associate's degree with 10 years; or a High School Diploma/GED with 12 years.
- Level 3: Bachelor's degree with 10 years of progressive experience in an electric public utility or similar organization; or an Associate's degree with 12 years; or a High School Diploma/GED with 14 years.
