Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance critical components and functionalities of the MAAS platform to establish it as the premier bare-metal cloud system.
• Architect the MAAS ecosystem, focusing on simplicity, performance, and user-friendliness.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of MAAS with other systems and adherence to release timelines.
• Contribute to a robust continuous integration environment that promotes rapid feedback and comprehensive testing.
• Create top-notch documentation for Data Center operators and end users.
• Foster technical dialogue and collaborate with various teams to achieve impactful results.
• Take the initiative to tackle challenges and drive them to resolution.
• Engage in international travel several times a year to connect with our global teams.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in software development, particularly in Python, Go (back-end), or TypeScript, React (front-end).
• Quick adaptability to new technologies, combined with strong logical reasoning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Linux server technologies, including Virtualization (KVM), Containers (LXC), and others.
• Familiar with network technologies such as PXE, DHCP, TFTP, DNS, and NTP.
• Experience with Baseboard Management Controllers and related protocols (Redfish, IPMI, AMT).
• Strong background in networking, storage technologies, and cloud hosting/infrastructure.
• Ideally, hands-on experience with large-scale physical server provisioning and automation, including deployment, configuration, and orchestration.
• Knowledge of open-source development practices and tools such as Launchpad, Debian packaging (APT, dpkg), and Snapcraft.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, STEM, or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year for team engagement events.
