Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your extensive knowledge of the litigation lifecycle to provide vital assistance to our legal team.
- Organize, prepare, and interpret complex legal documents pertaining to litigation cases, managing databases and filing essential documentation.
- Execute eDiscovery tasks, including conducting electronic document reviews and managing production requests.
- Assist attorneys by preparing materials for depositions, playing a critical role in the deposition process.
- Conduct thorough factual research utilizing internal and external databases and libraries to support case needs.
- Coordinate trial preparations, offering support during trials and hearings while managing logistics effectively.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure efficient processes across our legal operations.
- Initiate improvements in procedures and communications to streamline workflows within the team.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and web-based conferencing applications.
- Expertise in MS Word, including document editing and comparison.
- Strong skills in MS Excel for spreadsheet management and database applications.
- Competence in MS PowerPoint for professional presentations.
- Familiarity with transcript management applications (e.g., LiveNote).
- Proficient in cite-checking and bluebooking.
- Experience with online research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and electronic court databases.
- Comprehensive understanding of legal processes and procedures relevant to various jurisdictions.
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience required.
- At least 5 years of experience in litigation is essential.
- Experience with trial, arbitration, or mediation is required.
- An ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
