Remote Senior Project Manager - Solar (PV)

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to spearhead utility-scale Solar PV projects across the United States in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role merges strategic project management with client interaction, ensuring the effective delivery and realization of projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a skilled team of engineers and designers, leveraging your proficiency in PVSyst and other modeling software to provide top-tier power generation solutions. In addition, you will significantly contribute to the advancement of renewable energy initiatives, including Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of utility-scale Solar PV projects, from initial conception and design through to implementation and final handover.
• Act as the lead liaison for clients, nurturing long-term relationships and ensuring their satisfaction at the executive level.
• Guide and mentor a team of technical engineers and designers, facilitating their use of PVSyst and other advanced modeling tools throughout the design process.
• Strategically manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to optimize efficiency and achieve project milestones.
• Collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that project objectives align with client and company goals.
• Provide thought leadership within the renewable energy space, participating in initiatives across Solar, Wind, and BESS, while sharing best practices with colleagues.
• Identify potential project risks and propose innovative solutions to overcome challenges during the project lifecycle.

• Extensive experience managing utility-scale Solar PV projects with a proven record of success.
• Strong client-facing abilities, adept at cultivating and managing high-level client relationships across multiple projects.
• Proficiency in PVSyst and other Solar PV modeling software.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in managing and developing technical teams.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and organizational capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Proven track record of successful project management in utility-scale Solar PV environments.
• Strong background in leading and developing technical teams.
