Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with a global team in a fully remote environment.
- Design and implement clean, efficient web service APIs to support both CLI and web frontend clients, primarily utilizing Python (and optionally Golang).
- Take ownership of the complete development lifecycle: from conceptualizing new features to deploying them in production and maintaining them at scale.
- Review and contribute to the code and technical designs created by your peers.
- Share insights and collaborate with colleagues to devise creative and effective solutions.
- Participate in remote travel for 2 to 4 weeks annually for both internal and external events.
- Proven experience in developing public-facing APIs and web applications, with a significant emphasis on Python.
- Strong understanding of backend infrastructure, particularly server-side development.
- Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases, along with experience in designing efficient data models and optimizing queries.
- Familiarity with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
- Exceptional communication skills, both technical and interpersonal.
- Self-motivated, enterprising, and take pride in producing high-quality work.
- A background in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field with strong academic performance.
- Professional experience in backend development and infrastructure, particularly in building public-facing APIs and web applications.
