This hybrid role allows for flexibility, enabling team members to work both remotely and onsite (2-3 days per week). Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT solutions utilizing Python to enhance enterprise-level customer experience applications.
• Document system functionalities, conduct unit tests, carry out peer code reviews, and support the maintenance of internally developed applications.
• Evaluate purchased products for performance and conduct performance testing.
• Establish IT controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and associated data.
• Participate in system design, development, testing, and change management processes.
• Manage diverse database environments including SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, dBase, and MS Access.
• Architect and create RESTful APIs using Python to ensure a robust and scalable architecture.
• Process and schedule batch files, managing data efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to assess various libraries and technologies, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

• Proven experience in unit testing, release processes, and change management protocols.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal capabilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of systems development life cycle.
• Extensive proficiency in SQL scripting, querying, and advanced database administration.
• Expertise in Python programming and relevant libraries, particularly in developing REST APIs and handling batch processing.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and PySpark, alongside experience in a Hadoop environment.
• Capability to work with vast data sets (millions of records) and perform data analysis.
• Proficiency in desktop applications such as the MS Suite and flowcharting tools like Visio.
• A systematic approach to evaluating technologies and libraries to meet organizational needs.
• A strong curiosity for learning and a desire to understand complex data flows and processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in technical design and coding within the IT sector.
• Practical experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting and advanced SQL.
• Strong background in handling large-scale data sets and leveraging PySpark in a Hadoop environment.
