Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate remotely with a diverse, globally distributed team.
• Architect scalable service APIs to facilitate seamless data streaming to various teams and products using Python and Golang.
• Build systems for data governance, management, and auditing for our telemetry platform.
• Work in tandem with the infrastructure team to develop both cloud-based SaaS solutions and containerized on-premises offerings.
• Design and implement new features, from conception through to production and ongoing operations at scale.
• Review code and technical designs generated by fellow engineers to ensure quality and consistency.
• Engage in collaborative discussions to identify optimal solutions to technical challenges.
• Travel occasionally (2 to 4 weeks per year) for internal and external events.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with proficiency in independent work and accountability.
• A solid foundation in backend coding and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity challenges in the IoT sphere, especially concerning connectivity and data streaming.
• Knowledge of telemetry and connectivity systems, including data streaming technologies (MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.), observability tools (OpenTelemetry), and industrial data exchange protocols (OPC-UA, ModBus).
• Experience in designing and implementing back-end web services, messaging/data pipelines, and REST APIs utilizing Python and/or Golang.
• Proficiency in using Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.
