Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, development, and successful execution of UAV projects.
- Manage both technical and professional teams while ensuring effective operations and maintenance of the UAV fleet and pilot logistics.
- Supervise UAV data acquisition and processing tasks.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor multiple UAV projects and team members.
- Identify project scope and engage in contract negotiations.
- Develop and track project budgets, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Direct staff in creating database and schema criteria for UAV services.
- Manage UAV flight requests, pilot assignments, and data acquisition processes, including Mapping, Photography, Video, LiDAR, and QA/QC of deliverables.
- Oversee UAV flight and processing software, maintaining partnerships with platforms such as SkySkopes, DroneDeploy, and Pix4D as required.
- Engage in business development tasks such as RFP responses, presentations, and proposal preparation.
- Organize project tasks and oversee UAV technicians and specialists.
- Analyze data from remote sensing platforms to extract valuable insights.
- Assist in the development and design of remote sensing applications in line with project objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and related application extensions.
- Knowledge of data management within Relational Database Management Systems.
- Familiarity with data analytics, advanced data visualization techniques, and Big Data.
- Experience with web-based GIS services and mapping tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in GIS and/or UAV.
- Remote Pilot Certification is required, with Remote Sensing Certification considered an advantage.
