Key Responsibilities
- Manage the comprehensive process of estate and trust administration, including probate matters (knowledge of New Jersey, New York, and Florida probate is advantageous).
- Provide empathetic and knowledgeable guidance through consistent communication with clients, financial planners, and accountants.
- Prepare federal and state estate tax returns and fiduciary accountings with precision.
- Oversee the distribution of estate assets and ensure proper trust funding.
- Maintain detailed records while ensuring adherence to all legal standards.
- Strong communication and mathematical abilities are vital for success in this role.
- Proficiency in estate tax software (ONESOURCE/Fast Tax), HotDocs, and Microsoft Word is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an aptitude for prioritizing tasks effectively.
- A collaborative attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A college degree and/or paralegal certificate is preferred.
- JD/paralegal candidates will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate administration is required.
