Job Overview

You will be responsible for managing all facets of design and construction oversight, which includes site evaluations, facilities assessments, and client relationship management throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough site visits and assessments of buildings for potential lease or acquisition.
- Execute facilities assessments and offer recommendations for enhancements or modifications.
- Coordinate the efforts of architects, engineers, and other professionals during the design phase.
- Oversee all components of construction management, including soliciting bids, securing permits, and negotiating contracts.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and financial reporting.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations with clients and other stakeholders.
- Evolve and refine systems and procedures for construction management while training team members.
- Maintain up-to-date job knowledge and skills through educational initiatives and team gatherings.

- Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, urban planning, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, facilities management, or real estate development.
- Proven experience in real estate development projects and construction management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, terminology, and materials.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to travel within the Chicago Metro area and occasionally to other Midwest locations.
