This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President and entails both professional and managerial responsibilities related to real estate and development/redevelopment projects, encompassing property acquisition and disposition, construction, and rehabilitation efforts.

This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President and entails both professional and managerial responsibilities related to real estate and development/redevelopment projects, encompassing property acquisition and disposition, construction, and rehabilitation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Vice President to establish and implement strategic objectives pertinent to real estate and community development.
- Oversee and mentor the department's real estate development and redevelopment staff, providing essential coaching and constructive feedback to drive performance.
- Identify and pursue innovative housing development opportunities, fostering collaborations with both public and private entities.
- Manage the lifecycle of real estate projects, from strategic planning and financing to execution, with a focus on mixed-income and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare and analyze project budgets and financial pro formas, while evaluating market studies, development proposals, and regulatory compliance.
- Cultivate relationships with city and state departments, stakeholders, and partners to effectively implement funding initiatives for redevelopment efforts.
- Manage real estate assets, conduct due diligence for property acquisitions, and recommend viable investment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain collaborations with funders, community organizations, and residents to ensure alignment with community needs.
- Prepare and manage the budget for real estate initiatives, ensuring financial sustainability and viability.
- Monitor industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to maintain competitiveness.
- Proficiency in strategic thinking and adept problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong financial acumen, with substantial experience in budget preparation and management.
- Familiarity with community engagement strategies and real estate analysis tools.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Master's degree in Real Estate Development, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on affordable housing and community development.
- At least four years of demonstrated experience working with mixed-use financing programs.
- A proven history of managing complex real estate projects and leading cross-functional teams successfully.
