Key Responsibilities
- Champion customer service excellence to enhance the company’s brand reputation.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries related to equipment, service quality, and operational issues.
- Conduct thorough analysis of inventory usage, ensuring optimal purchasing decisions to minimize costs.
- Actively contribute to both short-term and long-term equipment procurement strategies.
- Exercise sound judgment in daily operational decisions, facilitating smooth workflow.
- Engage daily with service and repair vendors to guarantee accurate billing and damage reclamation.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all invoice documentation is complete and compliant.
- Oversee and follow up on open service orders, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage inbound and outbound inspections of all equipment, addressing any damage promptly and accurately.
- Ensure that repair and delivery vendors adhere to company policies and industry standards.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment for branch personnel, conducting regular safety meetings.
- Foster staff development by clearly communicating responsibilities and performance expectations, encouraging personal growth.
- Proven leadership capabilities with a strong background in managing budgets and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, coupled with effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong negotiation skills are an added advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general internet applications.
- Experience in driving a switcher/yard jockey is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management capacity; relevant experience in semi-trailer maintenance, leasing, or fleet management may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior experience in staff management is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
