Job Overview

In the role of Vice President of Retail Banking, you will take charge of the overall management of our retail banking operations. This senior-level position involves overseeing our branch network and Contact Center, creating forward-thinking retail banking strategies, enhancing member experiences, and driving deposit and loan growth. You will work in close partnership with executive leadership, regional branch managers, and Contact Center leaders to align our service offerings with member needs and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a culture of excellence by leading the retail banking team in providing member-focused service.
  • Analyze market trends and member needs to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and business development teams to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Oversee daily operations of the retail banking division, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Work with Operations Analysts and Learning and Development teams to implement policies that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage performance across the branch network to meet operational, sales, and service standards.
  • Ensure a superior member experience through all retail channels.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and member satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to member feedback and concerns.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic projects to improve retail banking products and services.
  • Evaluate the performance of retail banking deposit and loan products, recommending enhancements based on market trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to attract new members and retain existing ones.
  • Engage in community outreach, business development, and financial literacy initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to manage the retail banking budget and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Monitor financial performance, implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify risks in retail banking activities and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Ensure consistency in business practices across the branch network.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performance retail banking team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and opportunities for growth.
  • Support the organization's mission by fulfilling relevant responsibilities as assigned.
