About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records. This role plays a key part in ensuring the financial health of our client by handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly
- Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end close processes
- Generate and analyze financial reports for management
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Work closely with external accountants or auditors as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations
Qualifications
- 5 years of bookkeeping experience in a for-profit company
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams
