Service Writer
Job Summary
The Service Writer is responsible for providing technical support to our customers. This includes assisting customers with technical issues, troubleshooting problems, and resolving them in a timely manner. The Service Writer will work closely with the sales team and customer service team to ensure that customer needs are being met.
Responsibilities
·Provide prompt and accurate responses to customer service requests
·Work with the customer service team to ensure that customer needs are being met
·Work with technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
·Communicate with technicians regarding the status of customer issues and provide an estimate of time needed for completion of the issue
·Identify customers’ needs and recommend appropriate solutions or actions based on available technical knowledge and experience
·Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with customers, vendors, and colleagues
·Maintain a clean and organized work environment
·Work independently or as a member of a team as assigned by management. Must be able to work well in a team environment.
·Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
·Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels within GIBBON TIRE AND AUTO, LLC. Must be able to communicate with customers and vendors at all levels within GIBBON TIRE AND AUTO, LLC.
·Must have the ability to learn new software applications quickly. Must have the ability to learn new software applications quickly from our training department.
·Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend, reach overhead, climb stairs, walk up stairs, climb ladders, kneel down stairs, push or pull packages weighing over 50 lbs., climb over 20 feet ladders. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend knees kneel pack packages weighing over 25 lbs., climb over 20 feet ladders.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
- Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Exceptional customer service and sales skills
- Proficiency in service writing and auto estimating
- Dealership experience preferred or national automotive chain
- Background in auto service management and technician roles
- Required Experience with Tekmetric SMS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
