The Department Support Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to a given department in a manner that is both high quality and rapid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.
- Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, and/or transfers calls to appropriate individuals without delay.
- Greets patients, clients and providers upon their arrival at the facility and ensures that they are directed properly while recording any necessary information as required by policy.
- Schedules client and patient appointments in full coordination with case managers, counselors and physicians.
- Conducts reminder calls regarding appointments to clients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, with an Associate Degree preferred.
- One to three years administrative experience in a medical environment, with behavioral health experience preferred.
- Experience working within a Native American environment preferred.
- CPR Certification.
- Fingerprint clearance for TCH only.
